AI-powered Robot Dog Laika Can be a Companion for Astronauts in Space Travel

Jihee Kim, a student from South Korea's Hongik University has designed a robot dog named Laika to offer emotional support to the astronauts during their space missions. This robot dog companion was named after the real Soviet dog Laika, the first animal to board Sputnik 2. Designed for upcoming space missions, Laika will participate in NASA's Artemis and Moon-to-Mars missions scheduled between 2025 and 2030.
